Jay Koblenz is a professional automotive journalist with more than twenty-five years experience testing, photographing and writing about motor vehicles. He has held staff positions on numerous automotive and motorcycle publications. His writing and photography have appeared in hundreds of publications.

From 1986 through 2006, Jay served as the Editorial Director for Consumer Review's Auto Guide Series, a nationally published series of new car and truck buyers guides. Like CarVideoReview.com, these publications also were non-advertising supported, dedicated to serving the consumer. He spent more than a decade as the automotive contributing editor to Consumers Digest and the chief automotive writer for Black Enterprise. His monthly column about elite automobiles, Top Model, appear in Distinction, a regional lifestyle magazine in the Hamptons on Long Island.

Jay is also an automotive enthusiast and trained motor sports competitor. He is a graduate of several race driving schools, with extensive racetrack (auto and motorcycle), autocross and pro-rally driving experience. He is, in fact, among the surprisingly tiny minority of automotive journalists who also knows how to drive, compete and analyze the dynamics of a motor vehicle. In addition to his enthusiasm for cars and motorsports, Jay also has a green side, being concerned with the future of our planet. He has served his local community as a volunteer Park Ranger and is also an avid bicyclist.
